I am so very thankful that Landon and I got to go to St. Louis for our family vacation this year. I know we won't always have the funds to do vacations, but I also know how important they are for your marriage and family, so we are at least going to try to make them happen as much as we can.
We chose St. Louis this year because it is honestly one of our favorite cities we have been too. We used to take day trips up there to watch a Cardinals game before we were married, so we were excited to STAY in St. Louis so we could see more of the city.
Our vacation's timing was PERFECT. We just got all moved into our house in Tunica and Landon worked tirelessly on a sermon that you can listen to here...

He did such a great job preaching on the New Covenant! I am very proud of him.
After Landon preached on Sunday, our entire church (literally) went to the local Mexican restaurant to send off some dear friends of ours, Murray and Mary Kathryn. He accepted a coaching job 2 hours south. They have been so valuable to our church and we are sad to see them go, but we know they are just being obedient to Jesus.
After lunch, Landon and I went home... looked at each other and asked "What do we do the rest of the day?" We were both so excited we were going to St. Louis the next day, we decided to leave a day early.
We drove about half way, which landed us in Cape Girardeau, MO. We ate dinner there, shopped around for hotels (which was a new experience for us), literally did NOTHING in the hotel, and had smoothies/milkshakes for dessert.
GREAT way to start vacation...
I also love this... Landon is a sucker on vacation. He told me NUMEROUS times when I asked to if we could something he said "We can do anything we want. Its vacation" There are not many limits for him on vacation, which is I love. He spoils me :)
