So, Im not the blogging type. I have noticed girls usually do 3 things when they get married.
1. Get a Dog
2. Cut their hair
3. Start a Blog
I decided I wanted to be different, but I am coming to the realization why people blog. I love to journal. I am thankful that the Lord gave me that desire because I often journal about what the He teaches me during my quiet times. However, I do not write down the fun day to day events that go on in my life.

So i know this post is like 22 days late, but I wanted to do a quick memory snap of 2011 because it was a big year for this family!
I will try to only highlight some of the major events of 2011.
The year started off with the biggest snow I have ever seen around these parts. So fun!!
My second semester of my junior year started back. One of the things I was really hoping for during 2011 is that I would get married, but it really just wasnt looking that way.
Until, February 19th....
We got engaged.
During Spring Break, we went to visit Landon's brother and sister in law in Budapest, Hungary.
We also met our nephew, Gideon, for the first time!
After we returned from Hungary, wedding/future planning was in full swing. We signed out lease for our first house together. One day I will post pictures of our first house. The only ones I have currently have are ones with our house with Christmas lights.
At the end of April, my best friend, Christina, got engaged to her Robert Landon!
Throughout the summer, we had many showers and got way more than we deserved. We are still so grateful for the love we were shown throughout our engagement!
In June, Jennifer Adkins took some engagement photos for us.
In July, Landon got his first job as lead worship pastor at a church plant in Tunica, MS. I have to brag on my husband for a minute. We prayed and prayed that the Lord would give him ANY job at all so we could get married. He was so faithful to do that... he acutally gave him 3! My husband was going to work 3 jobs (along with going to school) just so we could get married, but THANKFULLY Lifepoint Tunica was enough for him just to work that one job!
Here is his picture on their website..
At the end of July, we moved all our stuff into our house. We finished up last minute showers, wedding details, and living arrangements.
On August 13, 2011, I married my best friend, soul mate, and love of my life.
We also had the best wedding party anyone could ask for!!
After the wedding, we headed to Montego Bay, Jamaica for a relaxing and refreshing honeymoon.
After we got back from our wonderful honeymoon, we started our senior year of college!
We also went on our first camping trip together!
Our church grew, friendships were built, and the staff and their wives grew closer!
We enjoyed our first Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years together!
I am so very thankful for 2011. It was the best year of my life, thus far! I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for 2012!
