On my birthday my mom got me a sewing machine because I mentioned at Easter that I think it would be cool to learn. I am so glad she got it for me, because I am not sure I would have gone out and bought one myself. I didn't get to use it until almost two months later thanks to school. My grandmother has been sewing ever since I can remember, so thankfully she has been giving me lessons. I can't wait for all that she is going to teach me!
Lesson One: Figure out how to use my sewing machine and stitch a straight line.
Lesson Two: Learn to make a pillow.

In addition to sewing, I have been feeling a little crafty lately. I use that word very loosely.
We spray painted our lamps a fun blue color.
And I made some containers for my classroom thanks to a coffee can and a clorox container!
I hope I will keep it up once school starts!
