Women's Conference and Corn Mazes.

Last weekend, my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and I headed to Stevenson, AL for a women's conference. My other sister-in-law, Anna's, sister, Laura was the speaker. We met Anna there. Her and G were headed back from a relaxing week at the beach. Friday, after I got off school, we loaded up and headed to AL. We stopped in Corinth for dinner and made it about 10pm. Saturday morning we woke up and headed to the conference. Laura did SOO good. She was so real and passionate in her teaching. It was contagious.  I know Anna was so proud of her sister! I was thankful to get to spend sometime with the girls. Looking forward to more weekends like this in the future!

After the past two weekends, I needed a low key weekend. Not that they were not wonderful, because they most certainly were, but they were nonstop. So this weekend was devoted to just Landon and I. Last night, we stayed around the house. We played cornhole, walked around the neighborhood with Piper, grilled out, and ate outside.  It was a beautiful night last!!

Today we cleaned the house (yay :/)   and got out of Tunica. We headed to Southaven to run some errands then to Memphis for a date night. We ate burgers at Red Robin then spent an hour walking around the Corn Maze. Afterwards, we headed to starbucks for some coffee.

It may sound like a boring weekend to some, but not to me. My love language is quality time, so I just enjoy spending time with my man (especially outside!)

New Orleans Weekend

The past couple of weekends (shoot, weeks.) have been B-U-S-Y. Good, but busy. I have to start off by saying, I feel like my friends and father would be completely disappointed in me. I used to take pictures all the time. Seriously, it was annoying. However, the older I have gotten the less I take pictures. I need to work on that. So sorry for the lack of assortment of pictures.

Labor day weekend Landon and I headed down to New Orleans to visit some friends of ours. That Friday, at school, we had tacky day so here ya go...

I did change out of my tackiness before the 7 hour drive to NOLA.

Most of the drive down there was good: music and conversation. However, about 2 hours outside of NOLA Landon started having an allergic reaction to we still don't even know what. Thankfully my mom is a nurse so I called her and she walked me through some things we could do to help him. It didn't get bad enough that we had to take him to the hospital, but it was still very miserable for him. Thank God for Benadryl. Literally.

While we were in New Orleans, we stayed pretty low key with JDub and Amber. We got to see their world at seminary and ate out ALOT... check this out...

Those pancakes are literally the size of pizza's. They were so good.

Saturday, after that gigantic  meal for breakfast, we got to see some old friends from Olive Branch, Hal and Julie Stewart along with their children. They just recently moved there for Hal to teach at the seminary. It was so good to catch up with them.

After the visit, we went back to the Warren's apartment and the boys watched MSU football while the girls talked deeply about spiritual matters and how to solve the world's food crisis..... just kidding, we slept. for like 3.hours. It was glorious.

Sunday we went to church and then spent most the day at the apartment watching recent episodes of Parks and Rec. That night we played The Office trivia game.. twice. It was alot of fun with lots of laughs.

Sadly, this is the only pictures I got of Landon and JDub

Thanks JDub and Amber for letting us crash at your apartment for the weekend and showing us your world! We had so much fun!

Puppy Weekend

This weekend was monumental. We got a puppy AND my brother and sister came to stay the night with us.

Meet Piper. She is a lab/golden retriever mix. And the sweetest thing ever. Seriously she is so good.

My sister LOVES animals, so she was in paradise.

She even wanted to give Piper a bath.

My brother played piano with Landon on Sunday morning, so the whole fam came down for worship, lunch, and none other than card games.

Thanks for coming down guys and hanging out with us!!

Two Years.

I can not believe that this happened two years ago..

What better way to celebrate it than with a steak and baked potato at literally the best steakhouse.

Thankful for a sweet anniversary night with my man.

Marriage Weekend

Landon and I have had the opportunity to go to not one, not two, but THREE marriage retreats in our two years of marriage. They are so good for us. We are reminded each time how important it is to keep Christ the center of our marriage, to love and respect each other, and to take time for one another. The first weekend in August our church held a marriage retreat in Olive Branch. Check out Landon's graphic he spent HOURS making. I know no one may care, but I am proud of his hard work!

Probably my favorite part of the marriage retreat was having a date night in Colleriville on Friday night. We ate sushi at Stix and because my love language is totally quality time, my boy walked around
Barnes and Noble with me just because he knew I would enjoy it.

Most fun part of marriage retreat? Games!

My man won me this for the best proposal story!!!

After the Marriage Retreat, we headed to my dads for a family night. I FINALLY got my Jerry's Sno Cone I've been wanting for months. And I got to ride in my dad's classic 70's beetle.

It's not family night unless there are cards.

Good weekend. Good weekend.

That Night I Played Mommy

So the other night my niece, Charlotte, came to spend the night with us. OVERNIGHT! Talk about excitement! Matt and Megan had to be out of town for a few days and my mother-in-law was working, so naturally she came to stay with Aunt KK and Uncle Landon.

I went to Senatobia and watched her at her house for the morning, while we waited on something to be delivered from UPS. Then we headed to Tunica.

Sweet girl slept all the way there, so obviously, she did not sleep when we got to the house. But she was so good. She just laid in her play pen and talked to herself for at least an hour! After "nap time" we scrounged around the house and tried to find some toys. Our house is not kid friendly yet.. So the toys we found? A crazy hat, tupperware, and a wooden spoon.

Obviously from the pictures, she enjoyed the toys.

That night we went to Lifegroups for church, where C was the CENTER of attention. This girl does not meet a stranger. She loved one of our members, Laura, the most :)

We left pretty much right after Lifegroups ended. I figured since sista didn't have a nap, she was pretty tired.

Once home, we did night-time routine. (I've been at Matt and Megan's enough times to know how it goes:) )

Bath. Jammies. Milk. Book. Prayers

The girl went down like a champ. No cries. No whining. Nothing. Man, I hope my kids are that good.

She slept for 12 hours straight. When we woke up, we had to get some snuggles in.

I felt like true mommy, because we planned a play date with one of the little girls from our church.

Pretty much how the play date went. Sweet claire was so tired!

After lunch, we headed to MiMi's!

Having Charlotte over was so fun! People say thats the best birth control there is, but I think it had the opposite effect on me! It doesn't help that she was pretty much the perfect baby! Thanks Matt and Megan for letting us keep her!

**Please excuse the long post, but this was the first night one of our nieces/nephews has stayed the night with us :) :) :) **
